In the next section "AREAS TO EXPLORE" You'll find a few buttons that will lead you to different areas to explore and learn more about the basics of home education. This section isn't just for new educators, but hopefully there is something for everyone. 

If after looking through the materials you still have questions, PLEASE reach out to us so that we can assist. There are no dumb questions, we all have to start somewhere. I'll meet you where you are today and assist along the way.

BLOG will provide answers to frequently asked questions. It will be added to frequently and hopefully feature different authors and topics as Jax Teach continues to mature.

STATE REQUIREMENTS will direct you to the Florida Parent Educators Association. This page will provide answers to most legal questions, including (if you scroll) the six legal responsibilities that a parent has while home educating their child(ren.)

HOME EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY/CURRICULUM Are you feeling overwhelmed with what to teach, or feeling inadequate as a teacher? This section will help you discover what philosophy and/or curriculum best fits your goals. The links included here will offer suggestions but won't box you into one style. I highly recommend stopping at HERI Jax's Homeschool Curriculum Library to put your hands on hundreds of options for a small fee of $40/year. This is MUCH cheaper than overspending on curriculum that you may find doesn't fit you or your students. 

EVALUATIONS How do I find an evaluator? What needs to be included? Can I fail the evaluation? This can be a nerve-wracking question for the home educator. This section should help with these questions.

SCHOLARSHIPS Our hope is to have someone local, who is very knowledgeable on Florida home educator scholarships to assist with this section. In the interim, please find information from the experts.
