Home Education Program

Chapman Education Services offers a drop off Home Education Program. This program is 2.5 hours 3 days per week (or 2 day depending on parent preference). During each class we cover the 4 academic core classes meeting children where they are. Classes sizes are small with a 5:1 ratio. We are a Step Up for Student provider

ATI Tutoring & Learning Center is a K-12 diverse learning support hub for homeschooling families. We assist with core subjects and provide practical learning to help students become independent and well-rounded. We believe a strong foundation begins with God at the center, starting each day with worship, scripture, and encouraging biblical concepts. Our project-based teaching model promotes hands-on learning, public speaking, and friendship-building. Enrichment opportunities include financial literacy, home economics, STEM, music, and art.

Uncharted Academy is a nonprofit and secular/neutral microschool, tutoring center, and home education resource hub serving students in grades K–12. Founded by veterans and educators, our mission is to empower students, especially those with unique learning needs, including dyslexia, ADHD, ASD, 2E, and other challenges, to chart a new path forward. Many families seek assistance in navigating their child’s need to move with their own tides, and we guide their journey with compassion, structure, encouragement and purpose.

We specialize in Orton-Gillingham-based reading intervention, project-based learning, interest-led engagement and a variety of enrichment opportunities including robotics, art, music, entrepreneurship and so much more. High School Students interested in Architecture/Interior Design, Construction, Engineering or the Trades Fields 

Registration is now open for ACE Mentoring! This award-winning program is open to 9-12 grade students interested in learning more about pursuing a career in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering industry or Trades Fields. Students will meet weekly to work on a hands on project and hear from mentors about career opportunities.

At these weekly meetings we have guest speakers from the architectural/design fields, engineering fields and construction fields. They talk about the education/skills needed to do their job and relate how their industry relates to the project, as well as approximately entry pay in their field. Students also work on their projects as a team during the meetings. 

Students are given an RFP (Request For Proposal) to design a building or other space. In the past ACE students have designed an urban park, a hotel, a restaurant, a library, a college gym, a café, a bridge, a traffic/highway/interchange solution, an Olympic Stadium, a Shoreline Design, and The Jacksonville Landing site among many others. 

 Students will have the opportunity to attend a field trip day (usually in March) and typically visit an architectural firm, engineering firm and construction firm/construction site. At the end of the year all of the ACE teams meet together to present their projects, then enjoy a nice catered lunch at the awards ceremony. 

In recent years, ACE students have had access to participate in a local college campus tour, Technology Bootcamp, Trades Day, Field Trip, and the ability to earn scholarship opportunities.

Our Homeroom Jax provides comprehensive home education support and personalized educational solutions for elementary students. Our microschool program serves as a midpoint between traditional schooling and homeschooling, with a certificated teacher delivering daily face to face instruction from 9am-2pm in a microschool setting of no more than 15 learners. Just Focus Online Learning (JFOL) is a math education program dedicated to providing engaging and individualized instruction through virtual services and mobile events. Our one-on-one online tutoring program offers weekly 30-minute sessions tailored to each student’s unique learning needs. All notes and worksheets from the sessions are uploaded to the student’s personalized math classroom, which is regularly updated with useful resources. At JFOL, we aim to close foundational math gaps for middle and high school students, helping them build confidence and master the essential skills required to access grade-level content.

In addition to our virtual tutoring, we offer mobile group services featuring project-based learning activities and competitions. My Tutor Connections is a tutoring company that matches students of all ages with the right educators based on their needs. Recently, we have moved a step further and opened our doors to high school homeschool students in the area. This program is two days a week and covers the four core subject areas. The program also offers graduation coaching, transcripts, and evaluations. We are certified to except the step-up scholarship program. Our program specializes in students who previously attended public, private, or charter schools through middle school, but the large high schools in Duval would not be a good fit. We are not affiliated with any religious movements and encourage character building through kindness, acceptance, appreciation, honesty, responsibility, and respect.

 After Hours Hourly Tutoring, “AHH” Tutoring can help your struggling reader.  By coming to your home, “AHH” Tutoring takes the stress out of learning to read in the classroom and makes learning a personalized experience, at your convenience.  When you book an appointment, your child will be given a FREE consultation that includes an Inventory of Skills depending on his or her grade level.  Lessons address Visual, Kinesthetic, Audio, and Tactile modalities and focus on highly structured multi-sensory activities that are designed to improve Encoding, Decoding, Reading, Writing, Spelling, Syllabication, and Self Editing.  Elementary reading goals are set to improve weekly reading speed, accuracy, and fluency.  I also help older students gain a deeper understanding of middle and high school literature and how to improve their writing skills.
