Local Classes - Music

Orange Park School of Music is a homeschool family owned and operated business that started in 2006. Our teachers specialize in designing lessons to fit the individual needs of each student, focusing on a mix of self expression and creativity along with the fundamentals of music instruction and theory. In addition to thoroughly covering the basic rudiments of music, we ask our students to put something of themselves into the music they create. As a result, our music lessons are not just another responsibility in their lives, they are an outlet for self expression and a source of enjoyment. As music educators, our goal is to help students relate to music, discover their musical ability, and nurture it!

About me:  30+ years teaching piano.  20 years with a full time schedule.  I have two grown adult kiddos of my own.  I teach from my home studio. I teach classical piano method.  I offer an optional formal spring recital each year.

Piano Friends is specifically designed for the playful world of 5, 6 & 7 year olds, the Piano Friends group class is an exciting time of musical exploration.

Using the acclaimed "My First Piano Adventure" curriculum; your child will sing, tap, and dance their way through fun activities with new friends! The class includes “My First Piano Adventures” lesson book and writing book and an option to rent a keyboard for your home. Classes are limited to 8 students or less. 

Piano, guitar, drums, ukulele and other instruments. Homeschool family lesson time available for multiple students.

My name is Chris Estes. I've been teaching music for 20 years. I specialize in guitar, bass, drums, banjo, ukulele  and singing. I can teach classical, pop, rock, country and many other styles. Music reading, theory, and ear training as well. My students have won the Teen Battle of the Bands here in Jacksonville  two years in a row. I've also helped many students prepare for Lavilla and Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. I’m located in the Riverside area of Jacksonville, and I teach out of my home, but also offer online lessons.

Price: $50 for an hour lesson, and $30 for a half hour. Online prices: $35 an hour, $20 for half an hour

School of Rock is a growing, passionate community dedicated to enriching lives through performance-based music education. Our patented results-driven programs combine one-on-one lessons with group band practices, making School of Rock the ultimate music school for kids and adults. 

From our Little Wing program for preschoolers to our Performance Program for teens and pre-teens, we incorporate group learning in all of our programs so that students enjoy the benefits of learning in the context of community while developing a lifelong love of music. We teach drums, guitar, bass, keys and vocals year-round, with summer camps as well as specialty programs in songwriting and recording. 

School of Rock is excited to offer programs to the homeschool community and is looking for feedback to determine what days to offer our services during normal school hours!

Music Heals of Florida, a division of Music Therapy Services, Inc., offers Music Classes for children and teens of all ages, using differentiated learning strategies, based on age, developmental abilities and individual musical preferences. We are a team of credentialed Music Educators & Music Therapists, each having taught Music Ed full-time in St. Johns, Clay or Duval county public schools. We travel to your Homeschool location. Musical instruments such as drums, ukuleles, guitars, keyboards, xylophones & glockenspiels, maracas, resonator bells & chimes and rhythm sticks are used to teach and reinforce social skills, executive function skills, language & math skills within a musical framework, and, of course, Music skills! Music Therapy Services, Inc. is a direct-pay Provider for the FES Scholarship and Sunshine Health CMS.

I am a classically trained violinist and violist with over 15 years of teaching experience. I offer in person and online lessons for students ages 11+ and also offer chamber music coaching. I teach from my home in Murray Hill with day and evening lesson times available.
