VegeCooking is a portable education kitchen that helps people of all ages LEARN to cook & LOVE their veggies, but we especially work with children in our after-school cooking clubs. We incorporate basic kitchen skills like chopping, whisking, measuring, etc., as well as a bit of nutrition education into each class. During cooking clubs the kids prep, make, and taste the dishes, and then clean up after themselves while also learning some of the benefits, growing season, and a fun fact about at least one key ingredient. We have themed units throughout the school year to take us from August to May, as well as summer camps. Kids may participate in one or all of the themes according to how their parents register them. In addition, we have single trail class registration available.
We also do birthday parties, adult classes, Mommy and Me classes, etc. Being portable means we can come to you or you can come to one of our locations.

What if we could build the future of DIY? Empowering our youth with practical knowledge of woodworking and hand finishing skills?
What would that look like? We teach curriculum that imparts the very passion that we experience in the studio every. single. day. We offer industry knowledge in an easy to digest format.
Four courses including woodworking skills and safety, color theory as it relates to our advanced hand finishing techniques, how math and science are used in design, and finding your own design style through designer concepts like scale and proportion.
We empower youth with the confidence, the how and the why of woodworking and design, and guide them in applying their new found skills in an exciting project.
________
Four groups such as Girl Scouts, we offer a certain set of days in the month for the 1-day class and the kids learn everything they would need that is required by the Girl Scouts to earn their woodworking badge. If we did it for the homeschool community, we could teach the same woodworking skills just without the badge.
